UCLA (39-3) tops NCBWA Division I Poll
The UCLA Bruins (39-3) continue their dominance of the poll for the ninth consecutive week after having a 3-1 week, winning 14 consecutive road games and going a league-record 21-0 in Big Ten Conference clashes. North Carolina remains No. 2 this week ahead of Nos. 3-5 Georgia Tech, Texas and Oregon State, respectively. OSU moved back into the Top Five after spending two previous weeks in that poll position or higher.
NCBWA unveils 2026 Stopper of the Year Midseason Watch List
As the 2026 collegiate baseball regular season enters its second half, the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) announced Wednesday that 61 of the nation’s top relief pitchers have been named to the midseason watch list for the 21st annual Stopper of the Year Award. Relief pitchers not included on the midseason list remain eligible to be considered as finalists for the award.
Grego, Bailey are Dick Howser Trophy National Players of the Week
The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) released its Dick Howser Trophy National Player of the Week awards presented by The Game Headwear for the period ending April 12. Arizona State sophomore infielder Landon Hairston was named National Hitter of the Week, while UCLA junior right-handed pitcher Logan Reddemann was named National Pitcher of the Week.

UCLA, despite having the Division I-longest winning streak of 27 games ended by UC Santa Barbara on April 14, continues to top the survey for the eighth consecutive week. The Bruins, 36-3 overall and a conference-record 21-0 in the Big Ten, lead No. 2 North Carolina (its top rating in 2026), No. 3 Georgia Tech, No. 4 Texas, and No. 5 Georgia (moving up from No. 6 last week) among the Top Five.

Jumping to No. 2 in this week’s ratings for the first time is Georgia Tech ahead of No. 3 North Carolina, No. 4 Texas and No. 5 Oregon State.

Kansas junior infielder Tyson LeBlanc was named National Hitter of the Week, while Grand Canyon junior left-handed pitcher Chase Frey and Michigan freshman left-handed pitcher Shane Brinham were named National Co-Pitchers of the Week
NCBWA NJCAA Polls: Week 11 (April 7)
Johnson County, Pearl River and SUNY Niagara are ranked No. 1 in their respective NCBWA Junior College Baseball poll entering after the 11 weeks of the season.
UCLA (29-2) tops NCBWA Division I Poll
The UCLA Bruins (29-2), riding a NCAA-2026-high 23-game winning streak, is in first place for the sixth week in succession after sweeping crosstown rival USC in their annual three-game set. Texas remains No. 2 ahead of No. 3 Georgia Tech, while Georgia at No. 4 and North Carolina at No. 5 achieved season-best NCBWA ratings.

The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association has named its Dick Howser Trophy Players of the Month for March presented by The Game Headwear, tabbing Arizona State sophomore infielder Landon Hairston as its National Hitter of the Month and USC junior left-handed pitcher Mason Edwards as the National Pitcher of the Month.

The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) released its Dick Howser Trophy National Player of the Week awards presented by The Game Headwear for the period ending March 29. Gonzaga junior infielder Maddox Haley and Purdue senior centerfielder Brandon Rogers were named National Co-Hitters of the Week, while Northern Illinois’ senior left-handed pitcher Max Vaisvila was named National Pitcher of the Week

The UCLA Bruins conclude their fifth consecutive week at No. 1 after sweeping Iowa in Big Ten Conference activity to run the Bruins winning streak to 19 games in a row. No. 2 Texas swept then-No. 10 Oklahoma in Austin to remain at No. 2, while Nos. 3 and 4 Georgia Tech and Mississippi State kept their ratings ahead of first-time No. 5 Georgia.

Bakes, Fay and Thompson-Allen are Dick Howser Trophy National Players of the Week
The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) released its Dick Howser Trophy National Player of the Week awards presented by The Game Headwear for the period ending March 22. Illinois State redshirt sophomore outfielder Brayden Bakes and SIU-Edwardsville graduate student outfielder Terrick Thompson-Allen were named National Co-Hitters of the Week, while Alabama redshirt junior right-handed pitcher Tyler Fay was named National Pitcher of the Week. The NCBWA Board reviews candidates from each Division I Conference and names winners each Tuesday throughout the season.

The UCLA Bruins (21-2) remain No. 1 for the fourth week in succession after a 4-0 week to continue to lead the Big Ten Conference at 9-0 and now with 15 consecutive victories. Texas stays at No. 2 ahead of Nos. 3-5 Georgia Tech, Mississippi State and Auburn.
Smith IV, Beard and Yehl are Dick Howser Trophy National Players of the Week
The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) released its Dick Howser Trophy National Player of the Week awards presented by The Game Headwear for the period ending March 15. Memphis senior outfielder/pitcher James Smith IV was named National Hitter of the Week, while Florida State junior right-handed pitcher Trey Beard and West Virginia redshirt junior left-handed pitcher Maxx Yehl were named National Co-Pitchers of the Week.
UCLA (17-2) tops NCBWA Division I Poll
The UCLA Bruins (17-2) remain No. 1 for the third week in succession after a 4-0 week to fashion a Big Ten Conference-leading 6-0 mark with 11 consecutive victories overall. Texas dropped from the ranks of the unbeaten at 18-1 after falling extra innings to Ole Miss but remains at No. 2 ahead of Georgia Tech, Auburn (top ranking of 2026 at No. 4) and Arkansas, respectively, to round out the Top Five.

The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association released its NCAA Division II National Players of the Week awards for the week
ending March 8. Adams State freshman designated hitter Osaias Hinojosa is the National Hitter of the Week and Central Missouri freshman righthander
Gavin Williams is the National Pitcher of the Week.
Carrier, Coats and Harris are Dick Howser Trophy National Players of the Week
The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) released its Dick Howser Trophy National Player of the Week awards presented by The Game Headwear for the period ending March 8. Cincinnati sophomore infielder Quinton Coats amd Pitt redshirt senior outfielder Lorenzo Carrier were named National Co-Hitters of the Week, while Southern Miss sophomore left-handed pitcher Grayden Harris was named National Pitcher of the Week.
UCLA (13-2) tops NCBWA Division I Poll
The UCLA Bruins remain No. 1 after a 4-0 week and 3-0 Big Ten Conference weekend sweep of Ohio State to open circuit activity. Undefeated Texas climbed one spot to No. 2 ahead of Mississippi State, Georgia Tech and Auburn, respectively, to round out the Top Five.
