The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association announced its 26th Annual District Players of the Year for all nine districts for the 2024 season.

The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) released its Dick Howser Trophy National Players of the Week presented by The Game Headwear for the period ending May 5. Oklahoma State sophomore outfielder/first baseman Nolan Schubart and Arizona State redshirt sophomore outfielder Nick McLain were named National Co-Hitters of the Week, while Nebraska junior left-handed pitcher Jackson Brockett was named National Pitcher of the Week. The NCBWA Board reviews candidates from each Division I Conference and names winners each Tuesday throughout the season.

Wake Forest junior infielder Nick Kurtz was named National Hitter of the Week, while Nebraska senior right-handed pitcher Brett Sears was named National Pitcher of the Week.

Nebraska third baseman Alex Gordon of Lincoln, Neb., has been named the 19th winner of the Xanthus-Dick Howser Trophy as 2005 college baseball player of the year in balloting by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association.
